Department of Rehabilitation Sciences
"Diversity of people is normal!" is the mission statement of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences. Therefore, we understand a handling of diversity oriented towards fundamental human rights and the shaping of inclusion as major social tasks. Research and teaching at the Department are committed to the full participation of people with disabilities in society, as laid down in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In doing so, we focus on the individual needs of people with disabilities, with impairments and/or in social disadvantage. Interdisciplinary and forward-looking, we address concepts of support and encouragement across the age span.
The department is composed into 17 research units and the three research clusters.
